Our story

Built From Racing

AWAL Performance Components exists because racing keeps showing us the same thing: parts can be lighter, stronger, simpler, smarter or more effective.

What We Do

AWAL is the brand, sales, distribution and product-development side of the business. We identify opportunities from real race experience, then work with an experienced manufacturing partner to evaluate, prototype, test and produce components.

Menomonie Machine Tool is part of that real-world story and has supported our racing program. It is a partner relationship — AWAL does not own a machine shop.

How We Sell

Our components reach racers through established dealers, builders and racers who already serve their markets. That keeps us focused on the product instead of running a storefront.

Founders

Aaron & Alex

Aaron Wilson's #92 WISSOTA Late Model racing on the dirt at Red Cedar Speedway

#92

Aaron Wilson

WISSOTA Late Model

Aaron started racing in 1995 at age 25. He ran WISSOTA Super Stock from 1995 through 2020 and has campaigned a WISSOTA Late Model since 2020, along with roughly five or six WISSOTA Modified starts.

Three-time Rice Lake Speedway track points champion and a one-time Red Cedar Speedway track points champion. Three decades in the seat is where most AWAL component ideas start.

Alex Lessard's red #3 WISSOTA Super Stock on the dirt track

#3

Alex Lessard

WISSOTA Super Stock

Alex has raced WISSOTA Super Stocks since 2023 in the #3 car.

His side of the program keeps AWAL close to the current racer's reality — what breaks, what costs time in the pits, and what could simply be done better.

Developed for What Comes Next

The catalog is small today and growing deliberately. If you have an idea worth building, we want to hear it.
